Artist Memo: Postmodernist Theory and Jean Baudrillard's writing, along with other deliberated linguistic masters, were the new things to me when I was in my junior year. Their articles made me think a lot and confused me even more. Why are we still painting representational images in such an image-proliferated era? Who is the author of the images and who is the intended audience?
