Artist Memo: What kind of image and interpretation does this painting present to the viewer, a "foreigner" who wears dark goggles and earplugs in a movie theatre while watching Superman's superpower? I think this foreigner feels and sees things that others can't, possibly even the reality or "truth" that we, as natives, can no longer recognize. The foreigner could be the most unaffected and happiest person in the theatre-but we'll never know.
